Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost of tuition, and how is it structured?
The cost of tuition is determined during the enrollment process, tailored to meet the specific needs of your child. Payments are due weekly on Fridays for the upcoming week of care.
Please note that a late fee of $10 per day will be added to your weekly rate if payment is not received on time. If fees are not settled by Monday of the current week, I will be unable to provide care, and you'll need to make alternative arrangements for your child.
Additionally, please keep in mind that tuition amounts remain the same regardless of any absences. If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept payments in cash or via Venmo. At this time, I do not have the capability to accept any other methods of payment. If you have any questions about the payment process, feel free to reach out!
Do you require a deposit to be made?
Yes, a deposit is required to secure a spot for each child. The deposit amount is equivalent to one week’s childcare fee and will be applied to your child's first week of care.
Please note that if your child does not start childcare with me after the deposit is made, the deposit will be non-refundable.
If you have any further questions about this policy, feel free to ask!
Are there any additional fees (registration, supplies, meals, etc.)?
Yes, there are a few additional fees that may apply in certain situations:
Cancelled School: If school is canceled and your child attends daycare that day, there will be a $10/day charge for those receiving before/after school care. This fee helps cover extra activities and meals for the day.
Extended Care: If your child remains in my care beyond the standard hours of operation (6 AM - 5 PM), there will be a charge of $5 for every fifteen minutes.
Document Copies: If you need copies of documents for court, attendance records, etc., there is a $5/page charge.
Late Payment Fees: A $10/day fee will apply for any late payments until the balance is paid in full. Please note that any outstanding accounts may be referred to a court or collection agency if necessary, and parents/guardians will be responsible for all associated court and processing fees.
If you have any further questions about these fees, feel free to ask!
Do you provide discounts for siblings?
Yes, I do offer a discount for siblings! Each additional sibling from the same immediate family living in the same household will receive a discount.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
My refund and cancellation policy is designed to provide clarity and fairness for all families.
Here are the key points:
Deposits: A deposit is required to secure your child's spot, which is equivalent to one week's childcare fee. This deposit is non-refundable if you decide not to enroll your child after it has been paid.
Cancellation: If you need to cancel your enrollment, I request that you provide written notice at least two weeks in advance. This allows me to fill the spot with another family.
Tuition Fees: Tuition payments are due weekly, and unfortunately, they are not refundable for any days your child does not attend, including sick days, vacations, or holidays.
I strive to maintain open communication and understand that circumstances can change, so if you have any questions or need to discuss your specific situation, please feel free to reach out!
Do your rates ever change throughout the year?
My rates are evaluated annually, and I will always provide a two-week notice for any changes. This ensures that you have ample time to prepare for any adjustments. If you have any questions or concerns about rates, feel free to ask!
Do I have to pay for child care if my child is not in attendance?
Yes, child care payments are still expected to be paid in full each week, regardless of how many days your child attends. This includes days when your child is sick, if you choose to keep them home, or during vacation time.
However, I do allow one week (5 days) of vacation per child throughout the calendar year that is exempt from payment, as long as your child is not in my care on any of those days. Please provide two weeks' notice of when this vacation will be taken to ensure that the 5 days are free of charge.
Please note that the free vacation week cannot be taken during the month of December.
If your vacation exceeds the 5 days, full payment will resume for any additional days, regardless of attendance.
